Responsibilities:

  • Record financial transactions accurately in accounting software, ensuring proper classification and organization.
  • Maintain general ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial records.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Process payroll, prepare invoices, and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and budgets for management review.
  • Support tax preparation activities and provide necessary documentation for audits.
  • Handle correspondence with vendors, clients, and financial institutions related to accounting matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
