Key Responsibilities:
- Crop Cultivation:
- Planting, watering, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules.
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment such as tractors, plows, and harvesters.
- Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as directed.
- Livestock Care:
- Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of livestock.
- Assisting with breeding, birthing, and caring for newborn animals.
- Cleaning and maintaining animal housing and equipment.
- General Maintenance:
- Repairing fences, buildings, and other structures on the farm.
- Performing routine maintenance on farm equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the farm premises.
- Crop Processing and Packing:
- Sorting, grading, and packing harvested crops for storage or shipment.
- Operating machinery for processing crops into marketable products (e.g., milling grains, pressing oil).
- Following safety protocols and regulations while handling food products.
- Land Management:
- Clearing fields and preparing land for planting.
- Implementing erosion control measures to preserve soil quality.
- Participating in conservation efforts to protect natural resources.
- Record Keeping:
- Keeping detailed records of crop yields, livestock inventory, and farm activities.
- Recording expenses related to farm operations and purchases.
- Assisting with paperwork and documentation for regulatory compliance.
